Principal / System Engineer – Hardware (domain Lead)

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of complex systems like flight control units and embedded hardware
- Create and implement system architectures and hardware design processes
- Translate client needs into detailed, traceable system/subsystem requirements
- Execute and guide system verification and validation
- Maintain system design documentation: interface specs, manuals, training guides
- Support on-site testing, integration, and client delivery
- Communicate technical info clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Oversee multiple projects, ensure compliance with standards, and deliver within scope
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (BSc Eng / BEng)
- 8-15 years' experience in electronic system and hardware design
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Experience with:
- Altium Designer (PCB layout and design)
- Electronic simulation tools
- High-speed routing (PCIe, SATA, Gigabit Ethernet)
- DO-254 or other aerospace safety standards
- Willingness to travel for testing (ground and flight)
- Strong written and spoken English
- Master's Degree in a relevant engineering field (MSc Eng / MEng)
- Experience with system reliability and safety analysis
