Job Description


Purpose Statement
Accountable for reporting and management of the pricing and analytics function with company supply chain, to enable and support insight and analytics to key stakeholders

Operational and Financial Modelling (Pricing):

Maintain a financial model that allows for the provision of cost and income estimates within levels of certainty and effective monitoring, forecasting and control of the financial limits of the department
Maintain and develop departmental dashboards, manually as well as part of automated system reporting
Provide insights to business to address operational issues
Build relationships with key stakeholders in order to gather category requirements and specifications from departments and category experts
Participate in modelling long-term and medium-term scenarios as needed by the department
Ensure Supply Chain governance
Oversee the management of My Inventory database
Support the completion of the Logistics and Category plans
Conduct ad-hoc analyses of projects
Oversee filing and safeguarding of records within area of responsibility and back up all data captured on management systems
Provide relevant support to internal stakeholders
Participate in various projects on an ad-hoc basis, such as relevant analysis and other strategic recommendations

Data Analysis:

Conduct data analysis and provide business analysis support to the Supply Chain department
Proactively identify business trends through analysis of Supply Chain data
Capture data accurately and regularly onto the Supply Chain database to facilitate access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making
Perform general data maintenance

Record Manager, Reporting and Presentations:

Develop and distribute reports on relevant data and information to management teams to enable reliable business decision-making
Develop standard reporting packs and dashboards focusing on delivering insights that support business decisions
Generate financial reports in conjunction with the Head of Logistics and Head of Commercial/Procurement
Create high quality, professional presentations for Senior Management positions
Manage business intelligence system to provide management reports to key stakeholders

People Management:

Actively manage the performance and potential of the pricing specialist, providing coaching, mentorship and leadership to support problem solving, assess productivity and recommend changes where required
Create an engaged and motivated workforce by establishing an environment that fosters collaboration through effective communication, trust, enjoyment, wellbeing, learning and development

Knowledge of corporate reporting (Advanced)
Knowledge of a financial reporting software packages i.e. SAP/Sage (Advanced)

BCom degree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in Finance/ Statistics/ Economics/ Supply Chain Management

Honours or equivalent NQF level 8 qualification

Salary: +- R1.1 mill pa CTC
