Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Pricing Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has a passion for data analysis. As a key member of our pricing and profitability management team, you will play a critical role in analysing and optimising prices to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting and Pricing

o Analyse costs on a product and customer level

o Identify gaps in packaging and raw materials to improve profitability

o Develop pricing strategies to ensure profitability

Profitability Management

o Conduct profitability analysis and identify opportunities for improvement

Inventory Management

o Confirming price & quantity on invoices when goods are received and ensuring that it corresponds to purchase order price and flagging discrepancies

Customer Price Management

o Analyse historical sales data and market trends to support pricing decisions.

o Develop and manage customer pricing structures and negotiate prices

Cost control

o Collaborate with cross-functional departments to implement cost control measures

Average unit cost analysis

Monthly reports to validate raw material usage and purchases

Analyse trends in supplier pricing

BOM accuracy and maintenance

o Re-analyse all BOMS (Bill of materials) on Sage

o Convert Litre formulation to Kilogram formulation

o BOMing of batch sheets

o BOM costing and maintenance on system per batch

o Confirming accuracy on quantity and correct batch numbers while analysing the Average unit costs

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Finance, Statistics, Accounting or a related field.

1 year experience in cost accounting, pricing, and profitability management.

Previous experience in Chemical industry an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel, other analytical tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
