Curro Holdings seeks to appoint a full-time Preschool Teacher for a one year fixed-term period at Curro Hillcrest Preschool in Hillcrest, KZN to commence duties in January 2026 until 31 December 2026.

Key performance areas

Perform teaching duties, including planning and overseeing activities (inside and outside the classroom), routines, hygiene, play times, teaching materials, concerts and events Plan and manage administration, including lesson planning and assessment of outcomes, record-keeping, parent and learner meetings, overseeing student teachers and assistants Manage the classroom, including classroom design and set-up for optimal performance, disciplinary rules and communication with learners and parents Observe and record learner behaviour daily and manage feedback to parents and management as well as problem areas Attend afterhours functions, events and staff meetings as and when needed

Qualifications, experience and skills

A Bachelor of Education for Foundation Phase or a Diploma in ECD Minimum 1 year of experience as an ECD teacher Knowledge and understanding of the ECD curriculum and child development for aged 2 to 6 years Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills Willing and able to work extended hours Proficient in Microsoft Office SACE-registered Clear criminal record
