Looking for an internship that will provide you with an experience like no other?


We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Presales Intern to support our software sales team.




What will the programme look like?


You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. Developing technical solutions to business problems in the Financial Management and Accounting sector. The role's primary objective is in helping both current and prospective customers conceptualise solutions to business challenges.


The process entails analysing and recording challenges, conceptualizing solutions based on the Sage suite of solutions and presenting the proposed solutions back to customers and stakeholders. The role will include product demonstrations, as well as building "Proof of Concepts".


Key Responsibilities

Summary of the Role


- Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and propose appropriate software solutions.


- Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations tailored to client requirements.


- Analyze client business processes and align software capabilities to address business challenges.


- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation requests.


- Liaise between the sales and technical teams to ensure smooth transition from presales to post-sales implementation.


- Stay current with product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends.


- Assist in developing presales tools, demo environments, and customer use cases.


- Provide feedback to product and development teams based on customer interactions.


- Working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment.


- Be able to articulate both the Sage Intacct and Cloud Native Value Proposition






What will make me successful?


- Must have a grade 12 matric certificate


- Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or, BCom in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a related fields of Software and Accounting.


- Must be able to work on Microsoft packages (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint).


- Clear Criminal record.


- Understanding of software solutions such as SaaS, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, or cybersecurity (depending on the company's focus).


- Must be able to travel to onsite visits to Business Partners and Customers.


- Experience with Software and Accounting is preferred.


- Technical certifications (e.g. Sage certifications, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified, etc.) is a bonus.

- Must know how to handle confidential information and be discreet


- Strong verbal and written English communication skills






Office Location


Midrand Office - This is a hybrid role, three days per week in our Midrand office

- If your video interview is successful, you'll be invited to an Assessment Centre


- Successful candidates will join our Intern Programme on 1st August 2025 for 12 months
