We are Hiring:

An experienced

PREPARATION MANAGER

to oversee the full operations of our Preparation Department.

The successful Candidate will be responsible for supervising Shift Employees, ensuring that all work instructions are being followed, and ensuring that good quality beams are produced timeously, and according to the required specifications.

This Role is an EE-aligned Position and open to such Applications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric / Grade 12 Level of Education. A Diploma in Textile Technology is preferred. 3 to 5 years' Managerial experience in a toweling / Home Textiles Preparation Department. Strong technical expertise in and/or knowledge of preparation processes (winding, warping, sizing), yarns, and chemicals. Proficiency in production scheduling, workforce planning, and workforce supervision. Fluent in English (verbal and written). Must be of sober habits (due to standby requirements), and willing to work overtime, weekends, and on Public Holidays (with reasonable notice).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan for and manufacture warp beams for weaving, one-week in advance, ensure the smooth supply of weft to the Weaving Department, and ensure that the Beam Order Plan is strictly followed. Supervise manpower, quality of work, and products produced in the Department. Monitor usage of machines, cleanliness of machines, and cleanliness of the Department. Institute disciplinary action as and when necessary, and ensure that Employees strictly follow instructions. Ensure that quality, product, and/or machine faults are immediately identified and rectified by the Mechanic.
