The Finished Vehicle Logistics Warehouse Operator is a critical frontline position responsible for the end-to-end operations of newly manufactured vehicles within the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) warehouse after they leave the production line. These operations include receiving, storing, moving, inspecting, preparing, and shipping vehicles. They ensure the safety, integrity, and orderly management of vehicles during storage, efficiently and accurately executing vehicle flow instructions. This role is a vital link in guaranteeing the smooth delivery of finished vehicles to dealers or customers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vehicle Receiving & Warehousing :
Receive new vehicles arriving from the factory production line or external transfers.
Verify vehicle information (VIN, model, colour, configuration, etc.) against system documents (e.g., vehicle manifest, handover sheet) for consistency.
Perform initial visual inspections (checking for obvious transport damage, paint, glass, tires, etc.) and document any abnormalities.
Safely drive or tow vehicles to designated storage locations based on system instructions or warehouse slotting plans.
Vehicle Storage & In-Warehouse Management :
Park vehicles reasonably, orderly, and safely according to warehouse layout, model, colour, shipping schedules, and other requirements.
Ensure parked vehicles meet safety spacing standards, with doors locked and windows closed.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to check vehicle status (including anti-theft measures, oil leaks, fluid seepage, tire pressure, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness, clear access, and clear signage in warehouse areas (parking spots, aisles).
Vehicle Movement & Relocation :
Accurately and safely move vehicles from their current location to target locations (e.g., PDI area, loading zone, specific parking spot) based on instructions.
Complete outbound scanning and confirmation in the system.
Safely drive or tow vehicles to designated loading areas (e.g., loading dock, truck bay) and park them as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Grade 12
1-3 years' of relevant experience in Automotive logistics, vehicle inspection or warehouse operations
Valid Code 10 and Cushman Driver's license
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Basic understanding of vehicle safety, handling procedures, and quality standards.
