The Press Room PR and sourcing team is growing!
Press Room, situated in Woodstock, Cape Town, is looking for an account executive with at least two years of public relations agency experience and who has a solid understanding of the media landscape in South Africa.
About this role:
As a PR account executive, youxe2x80x99ll pitch to the media and assist the team with any admin tasks. Admin includes media monitoring and managing coverage reports, proactively managing media and influencer contact lists and managing client reports.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Pitch press releases (earned media)
Coverage tracking (source mentions/clippings)
Track trends and issues for team
Compile and update media contact list
Coordinate product briefs
Track and respond to media briefs
Compile and contribute to month-end reports
Compile results coverage reports
Attend meetings and take minutes
General support on client accounts
Qualifications:
Experience with media relations and social media influencer marketing
A minimum of two years of experience in public relations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines under pressure
Qualification in communications, public relations, or a related field
Start date 1 December 2023
