Job Description

Our Client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Port Logistics Controller to join our client, a major mining company based in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the port logistics operations of the company's mining operations in the region. Your main focus will be on coordinating and optimizing the transportation and logistics activities related to the port operations. This includes managing the receiving, storage, and dispatching of mining products, coordinating with suppliers and transporters, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with deep knowledge and experience in port logistics processes in the mining industry. You must have excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in port logistics, preferably in the mining industry
• Sound knowledge of port operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatching of mining products
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the mining industry
• Proficiency in using logistics software and tools
