Senior Logistics Controller (Eastern Cape)

Our client is an exporter of citrus and other fruits. They have an opportunity for a Senior Logistics Controller to join their organisation.

The senior controller follows the full chain of its markets from planning to arrival with the main responsibilities being:

xe2x80x93 to focus on their allocated markets success and fulfilment of customer orders as per the programs, and;

xe2x80x93 strategic planning within the logistical operation with good collaboration between Logistics, Planning, Sourcing, Packing and Commercials.

This position is based in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) in the Eastern Cape.

Overview of key activities:

• Bookings
• Ensuring customer satisfaction
• Managing stock
• Daily checks
• Weekly/daily reporting
• Logistics software management (Iroot)
• Invoicing
• General duties

Education/Experience/Skills required:

• A degree or similar in Business/Logistics/Export would be advantageous
• At least 3 years' relevant experience in the fruit export industry
• Knowledge of IRoot for allocating pallets, bookings, day to day processing and reports is advantageous
• Intermediate numerical abilities (calculations and numerical reasoning, reconciliations)
• Computer Literate (Word / Excel (intermediate level) / Outlook)
• Communication Skills (written and oral)
• Accuracy, quality, and productivity
• Planning and organising
• Problem solving, decision making, critical thinking
• Action orientated
• Teamwork
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to extra hours
