Job Description

Job Summary Enabled and compliant plant delivery:

• Ensure that the resources allocated (people, process and material) are optimally utilized as expected to meet their daily/weekly targets.
• Optimize the plant performance by recruiting qualified, well trained and experienced resources within agreed budget parameters.
• Plan, organize and enable the production/plant team to ensure that all required skills and tools/other resources are available as and when required in order to meet the target/schedule.
• To ensure that the training plans are implemented and managed for all team members in line with the plantxe2x80x99s day to day deliverables.

Plant Safety and Security

• Ensuring minimum safety process and quality critical staffing positions are occupied on each shift as per the prerequisite for production to commence.
• To ensure compliance to all legal and other safety procedures and processes as prescribed to minimize risks

Optimal task/plant process performance

• To ensure proactive management of the resources provided to maximise operational efficiencies of the production processes to ensure continuous improvement such as raw material, consumables, energy and water, human resource and time utilization etc.

Job Competencies:

• Working knowledge of production and quality control principles.
• Ability to interpret, analyse and use complex technical data and error or warning messages.
• Ability to reference and interpret technical operating manuals, specifications drawings and diagrams.
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and consistently meet deadlines and schedules.
• Ability to grasp application and functioning of new technology.
• Able to respond positively to changing requirements and pressures.
• Ability to communicate technical detail with all stakeholders and service providers and management.
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and quality
• Physically fit and energetic with sober habits.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and production of explosives within a mining or resources industry
• 3 yearsxe2x80x99 demonstrated experience in the applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and quality
• 3 yearsxe2x80x99 demonstrated experience in people management Excellent selling skills

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical engineering or Equivalent
