Our client is looking for a Plant Maintenance Manager to join their team in Meyerton. This is a critical role at a new manufacturing facility that is set to become fully operational by September. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of equipment and machinery. The role focuses on maximizing equipment productivity, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensuring efficient cost management through strategic maintenance planning.Responsibilities:Analyze production activities to maintain a clear understanding of the manufacturing systemDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies aligned with production prioritiesExecute corrective maintenance to resolve equipment malfunctions or anomalies promptlyMonitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to enhance efficiencyConduct regular process reviews and audits to ensure system functionality and regulatory complianceSupervise, support, and evaluate maintenance technicians for technical readiness and performanceManage spare parts inventory and material supply processes effectivelyOversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost optimization and efficient resource useCollaborate with production, procurement, and health and safety teamsLead continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new technologies and methodologies to improve outcomesRequirements:Proven experience managing maintenance operations in an industrial or manufacturing environmentStrong technical knowledge of production plants, equipment, and operational processesUnderstanding of engineering principles, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsExperience in maintenance planning and execution (preventive, predictive, and corrective)Familiarity with industrial automation systems and diagnostic toolsAbility to generate reports and track maintenance activitiesKnowledge of international regulations and standards relating to health, safety, and the environmentCost management and budget oversight experienceStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, manage change, and perform under pressureBenefits:
