Our client has an EE opportunity available for a Planning Manager based in West Rand, Johannesburg.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering.
Business qualification would be advantageous.
SAPICS or similar courses would be advantageous.
5 to 8 years working experience within a Supply Chain environment- preferably in a planning role.
3 to 5 years people management experience.
Demonstrate experience reducing cost or improving efficiency in previous jobs.
Working experience within a multinational is an advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of MRP principles.
Attention to detail as well as good numeracy skills- essential.
A strong supply chain background.

Responsibilities:

Update customer service team and sales team about product availabilities.
Maintain inventory levels based on future customer demands.
Coordinate and steer the Sales and Operations Planning process.
Ensure adherence to the outlined processes for S&OP and demand planning.
Conduct root-cause analysis of relevant front-end and back-end supply chain metrics and take suitable action.
Drive supply chain process improvements.
Ensure ongoing reduction of slow-moving inventory and obsolescence.
Assume daily management of the supply chain team.
