Job Description

Stefanutti Stocks Inland requires the services of a Project Planner to develop and maintain the baseline schedule and oversee all scheduling control systems. Must be capable of preparing objective schedules, master project schedules, manpower schedules, fabrication, and sub-contractor schedules. Must be able to monitor actual progress against planned progress and report any deviations to and make recommendations to mitigate any risks to the Project Manager.




Primary duties will include:



Implement and maintain the structured planning procedure with the company Project Planning and Control guidelines which will assist the project team to complete the project within the contractual programme requirements. Agree the project planning strategy with the Project/Site Manager and the Planning Manager. Produce, in co-operation with the Project Team, programmes which define all work to be carried out in accordance with company procedures. Approve all supplier and sub-contractor programmes on a project. Ensure the compatibility of programmes, regarding key dates, information requirements, lead times, discipline interfaces etc. including those from suppliers/client with the contract programme. All programmes for issue to clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to be routed through the Project/Site Manager for his vetting prior to issue. Monitor the progress against all project programmes at daily intervals using measurements criteria, agreed with the Planning Manager and the Site Manager. Undertake programme analysis to establish discipline interfaces - critical activities - key dates -resource requirements - client responsibilities. Continuously evaluate the impact of queries, delays, scope changes etc. on the project programme. Evaluate the impact of deviations from and changes to the programme. Obtain information/commitments regarding work to be performed i.e. activities, durations, milestones, key dates, sub-contracts, resources required, etc. from all disciplines and suppliers on the project. Liase with the expediting department on actual and potential changes of delivery requirements. Interpret status of and trends on the project and formally report the true status of the project to the Project Team and company management at intervals as agreed with the Contracts Manager. Attend site/sub-contract/contract meetings as agreed with the Site Manager. Will be required to work in close conjunction with the project Contracts Administrator. May be required to execute reasonable functions not related to your position within your abilities from time to time. Comply to Company and site safety regulations and standards.

Minimum Requirements:





Excellent skills in the following packages: Primavera 6, MS Projects, MS Office Suit (advanced skills), Project Dashboard (Excel).

Knowledge of forensic schedule analysis.

Good understanding of Engineering & Construction Contracts.

Minimum of 10 - 15 Years' experience within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.

Managing projects with MS Projects.

Excellent Project Management planning, scheduling, control & analyzing skills.

Very good understanding of the New Engineering Contract.
