The successful candidate will report to the General Engineering Supervsior. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:Effective planning of specific project equipment to achieve productivity as per project scope.Effective scheduling and monitoring of specific project equipment, manage backlog and labor limitations / constraints.Determine skills, materials and resource requirements timeously and allocate to tasks following consultation with supervisor.Develop and maintain the site maintenance schedules, analyze data from the computerized management maintenance systems and identify trends and areas of improvement.Initiate procurement of spares and consumables to ensure availability.Liaise with the maintenance systems manager to on-board new machinery and provide site performance information.Identify and flag relevant legal requirements.Create job cards, with job safety analysis, in advance to ensure timeous availability of materials, skills and resources.Prompt identification of recurring defects and inefficiencies, flag, analyze and assist with close-out thereof.Engage with cross-functional teams, suppliers / OEM to obtain information that informs planning.Provide feedback and input to the site engineering team and procurement department at weekly planning meetings.Comply with legal regulations, M&RC and Clientxe2x80x99s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols.Effective self-management and alignment with M&RCxe2x80x99s values and leadership InitiativesMinimum requirementsSuitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:Grade 12 or NQF 4 EquivalentSection 26 Recognized or Equivalent Mechanical/Electrical Trade Certificate (Fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Millwright or Electrical) or National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical EngineeringProficient in computerized maintenance systemsProficient in MS Office [Excel, Word, MS Projects]Supervisory Development Program [preferred]Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:At least 8 years of experience in an engineering planning role of which 5 years as an Engineering Planner.Experience in an underground section particularly in trackless mining environmentExposure to CEMMS or similar softwareExperience in developing reports and analyzing data obtained from equipment will be advantageous.All appointments will be done in line with our employment equity strategy.DisclaimerThe Recruiter may amend, delete or expire jobs at any time without notification.Murray & Roberts reserves the right not to proceed with filling the position.An application will not in itself entitle the applicant to an interview.If you do not receive any feedback on your application within 4 weeks from the closing date, please consider your
