is a 24-hour residential and day-care facility providing holistic care, education, and therapy to children and adults with profound physical and intellectual disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Physiotherapist

to join our multidisciplinary team on a half-day basis.

Role Overview

The Physiotherapist will play a key role in designing, implementing, and monitoring individualized and group therapeutic programmes that promote mobility, posture, neurodevelopment, and overall well-being. The position integrates neurodevelopmental physiotherapy, daily stimulation, and caregiver training to ensure every individual receives dignified care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive baseline assessments and develop Individual Educational & Stimulation Programmes (IESPs). Provide physiotherapeutic interventions including stretching, mobilisation, tone regulation, and postural management. Plan and facilitate group sessions (e.g. sensory-motor circuits, creative movement). Train and guide caregivers on safe handling, positioning, feeding, and mobility techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals (Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Orthotists). Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and reassessments. Ensure correct use and maintenance of mobility aids and therapy equipment. Promote professional conduct, teamwork, and uphold the Centre's values

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent). Registered with the

Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

. Experience working with children or adults with

neurological, developmental, or physical disabilities

. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature. Based in or near the

Helderberg Basin

(Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay) preferred.
