Photography Post Production Intern (1 Year Internship)
Job Description
At Babylonstoren, beauty lives in the details -- from the orchards to the photographs that tell our story. We're offering a one-year internship for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our creative team as a Photography Post-Production Intern. You'll support our photographer with both on-set assistance and post-production tasks such as editing and organising images, while gaining hands-on experience in digital workflow management and creative editing.
Training will be provided in our specific editing and filing approach to align with Babylonstoren's visual and business standards.
Role Overview
This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order and flow to the creative process.
You'll help manage the editing workflow -- from selecting and lightly editing images to keeping our digital archive neat and well-organised. You won't need to take photographs, but you'll be part of the story behind each one, helping to shape the final images that represent Babylonstoren.
Requirements
Interest in photography, editing, and digital asset management.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or Capture One (training provided).
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Eager to learn and able to work independently.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Nice to Have
A natural flair for organisation and visual detail.
Creative interest in colour correction or retouching.
Curiosity about workflow automation or efficiency tools.
Responsibilities
Assist with backing up and organising RAW image files.
Help set up and maintain editing workflows in Lightroom.
Assist with culling and selecting images.
Apply light edits for consistency and quality.
Help maintain a clear system for file organisation and archiving.
Prepare and export images for galleries, print, and social media.
