Working hours:

Monday - Sunday: 8 hours per day between 08h00 and 17h00. Candidate will either work 3 weeks on with 1 week off of 6 weeks on with 2 weeks off which is in line with the hospitatilty sector BCEA

A family is looking for a LIVE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT TUTOR & AU PAIR for their sons aged 3 years old and 1.5 years old

Duties:

Early Childhood Tutor & Au Pair to providing foundational education, play-based learning, and emotional development for two young children in a remote setting on a wildlife game reserve. Candidate will be tasked with developing, initiating and growing a small, progressive "farm school" for the children while providing play-based early education for young kids in a remote reserve setting. Develop and deliver daily learning activities, routines, and developmental goals from scratch. This role combines hands on teaching, creative curriculum development, and a strong sense of independence and care. The ideal candidate brings passion for early learning and additional secondary skills that can enrich the wider reserve environment. In the afternoons, engage in Au Pair duties with the children such as do outings and playdates, general afternoon care, prepping of snacks and lunches for the children.

Requirements:

Early Childhood Development (ECD) certificate, First Aid certified (or willing to obtain), young, kind and organized, must have their own car / license. Additional skills such as an interest in yoga, wellness, life coaching, fitness, etc. is a plus

Start date:

March 2026 start - permanent contract

Salary:

R18 000 - R20 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
