Purpose of the position:

The stock controller is responsible for ensuring the timely supply of essential health products and other inventory items, as well as coordinating the maintenance of healthcare equipment in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational requirements.

Education

Grade 12 with mathematics

Job Requirements:

At least 3 - 5 years' work experience in government and / or NPO sectors Basic computer skills Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land or air if required Drivers license and own car Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa Willing to work overtime

Advantageous:

A qualification in Microsoft Office: Word & Excel Fluent in English. Fluency in local languages Qualification procurement and stock management

Duties and Responsibilities

Liaise with stakeholders Assist the delegated Professional Nurse in managing Health Products within scope of practice Ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of stock to ensure optimal availability. This includes all commodities provided by DoH facilities and those to be procured through the funder Coordinating health equipment manintenance. Ensuring that stock and equipment is managed according to the organisation and funder requirements. Managing medical waste Compiling and submitting reports Weekly stock counts of all commodities, both medical and non-medical items, with stock card submissions to funder as required * Temperature monitoring of pharmacy store room
