To manage a registered Pharmacy specializing in clinical research and ensuring that medication is effectively mixed and dispensed to clinical trial patients

Key performance areas:
To manage the Pharmacy by ICH GCP and GPP guidelines
Formalize and implement standard operating procedures
Attend to sponsor or Pharmacy queries via email or face-to-face meetings
Provide applicable training to any other Pharmacy Staff, e.g. Backup pharmacist
Ensure calibration and servicing of Pharmacy equipment
Must be familiar with chemotherapy preparation and dispensing
Manage and control the labeling of all drugs and the generation of patient labels
Interpret prescriptions and dispense medicines accordingly
Mix and dispense trial medications timeously and accurately to patients using the centralized patient scheduling process
Ensure drug accountability
To manage the process and file relevant documentation
Manage and oversee the Pharmacy's stock including ordering medicines from suppliers to ensure sufficient stock, stock received and expired stock
Temperature monitoring management as per protocol requirements
Assist team members with an open helpful attitude, perform on-the-job training where necessary
Assist the SSC's with visit activities (IVRS, IP management, etc.)
Required minimum education and training:
Pharmacy Degree
Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Oncology experience will be an advantage
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in a clinical trial environment
Oncology experience is essential
Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:
Valid driver's license
Sound knowledge of drugs and oncology mixing procedures
Attention to detail
Exceptional organizational and administrative skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Able to exercise discretion
Independent decision-making
Be comfortable with working overtime from time to time
