Pest Control Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, managing, and eliminating pests in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role involves inspecting properties, applying appropriate pest control treatments, educating clients on prevention strategies, and ensuring all services comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect buildings and properties for signs of pest infestation. Identify pest problems and determine the appropriate course of action. Apply pesticides and other pest control treatments in accordance with safety procedures and label instructions. Set and monitor traps for rodents and other pests. Seal off entry points and provide recommendations to prevent future infestations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, chemicals used, and follow-up visits. Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans, safety precautions, and post-service care. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pest control. Keep up to date with the latest pest control techniques and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Matric certificate. Valid pest control license (Registered with the Department of Agriculture with P- no of certification). Prior experience in pest control or a related field preferred. Good knowledge of pest biology and control techniques. Physical stamina to carry equipment and perform treatments in a variety of environments. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
