Personal Assistant

Umhlanga, ZN, ZA, South Africa

Job Description

We are seeking more than an assistant; we are looking for a right hand. This critical role is for a dedicated professional who will serve as the operational and strategic anchor for our Director, ensuring seamless execution and insightful support. If you are a mature, tech-proficient individual who values depth over breadth and is looking for a role to grow and own for the long term, this is your opportunity.

You will be the force multiplier, gatekeeper, and project coordinator, managing the flow of information and action to allow the Director to focus on high-level leadership and vision. Success means anticipating needs, solving problems before they arise, and being the reliable constant in a dynamic environment.

Who You Are: The Key Qualities We Value

An Independent Thinker: You don't just execute tasks; you understand the why behind them. You can be given a goal and determine the best path to get there, making sound decisions in the Director's absence and presenting well-considered solutions, not just problems.

Deeply Tech-Savvy: You are fluent in the modern workplace toolkit (e.g., Microsoft 365/Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management platforms like Asana or Trello, Zoom/Teams). You can troubleshoot common tech issues, recommend efficiency-boosting tools, and learn new software with ease.

A Mature Professional: You possess exceptional emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism. You handle confidential information with integrity, navigate complex situations with poise, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Committed & Steady: You are looking for a career role, not just a job. You take pride in deep mastery and long-term contribution. We value loyalty and stability and are invested in building a lasting, mutually rewarding partnership with the right candidate.

Core Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate all travel, meetings, and events.

Serve as the primary point of contact. Draft, edit, and manage high-level correspondence, reports, and presentations. Screen and prioritize communications with tact.

Prepare detailed agendas and briefings, attend key meetings to take precise notes, and track action items to completion.

Organize digital files, maintain CRM/contact lists, and ensure the Director has immediate access to needed information.

Handle all sensitive business, financial, and personnel information with the utmost confidentiality.

What We Offer

A mission-critical role with direct exposure to high-level strategy and operations.

A stable, professional environment where your commitment is valued and reciprocated.

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (e.g., health, dental, retirement plan, PTO).

The opportunity to be an indispensable part of our leadership's success.

Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an executive support role, preferably reporting directly to C-level or senior leadership.

Demonstrated proficiency with business technology and software as outlined above.

Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

A track record of longevity and dedication in previous positions.
