As a People Partner at Intrepid, you play a vital role in our management team, responsible for delivering essential HR services across our DMC locations. Your main tasks include recruiting and welcoming new team members, guiding them through their performance evaluations, development plans, and survey responses. You'll also handle important HR tasks like statutory reporting and ensuring employee records and compliance are in order. Your ultimate goal is to empower our managers to get the best out of their teams by providing them with the tools, support, and coaching they need for effective people management. As a valued member of our team, you'll collaborate with managers to enhance leadership skills, organize engaging activities like local Company events, and ensure we adhere to the best HR practices in coordination with our global People teams.
This is a full-time permanent position, in Johannesburg, South Africa . To provide the best experience to our people, this role would operate mostly out of our office with some work-from-home days.
A bit about you:
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Experience in operational HR as described above (3+ years preferred) in a full generalist capacity
Experience in handling industry relations matters, dealing and negotiating with trade unions and bargaining councils
Flexibility and willingness to adapt within a constantly changing work environment, including a high level of responsiveness to fluctuating workloads
Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
Well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of contemporary HR procedures and practices
An ability to interpret local labour regulations together with policy and procedure
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of People issues. Your organisation and planning skills, along with your attention to detail, will be the catalyst to your success in this role.
