People Partner | Centurion

Centurion, GP, ZA, South Africa

Job Description

As a People Partner, you are at the heart of shaping a workplace where people thrive, leaders lead with purpose, and performance is elevated through meaningful engagement. This role is about more than HR--it is about partnering with the business to create a high-performance culture that empowers individuals and teams to do their best work. You will be a trusted advisor, a strategic thinker, and a champion of our people strategy, helping to embed leadership accountability, ignite employee engagement, and build capabilities for the future. If you are passionate about making a real impact through people, this is the opportunity to do just that.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a degree (NQF 7) in Human Resources or a related field. This is a non-negotiable requirement, as it forms the foundation of your ability to navigate the complexities of people practices with confidence and credibility. You must also have a valid Code B driver's license. You bring with you at least three years of proven experience as an HR generalist, with a solid grasp of HR best practices across the employee lifecycle. Your experience has equipped you to handle the full spectrum of HR responsibilities, from talent acquisition to employee relations, and everything in between. You understand how to balance business needs with people priorities, and you have a track record of delivering thoughtful, people-centered solutions.

Skills Requirements

You are well-versed in the legislation that governs HR practices and know how to apply it with integrity and fairness. You are comfortable working with HR metrics and reporting, and you use data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. You are proficient in applicant tracking systems and recruitment software, and you handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Your business acumen allows you to align HR initiatives with organisational goals, and your analytical mindset helps you troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. You are always looking for ways to improve, and you foster a culture of learning and adaptability wherever you go. Your interpersonal skills are exceptional--you build rapport easily and collaborate confidently across all levels of the organisation. You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, both in writing and in conversation. You are highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities, and committed to accuracy in everything you do. You are also proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, using tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to support your work.

Role Impact

As a People Partner, your impact will be felt across the organisation. You will work closely with managers to provide HR guidance, ensuring that people practices support both performance and culture. You will lead initiatives that attract and retain top talent, support leadership development, and drive succession planning that prepares us for the future. You will be instrumental in creating people-centric experiences that foster engagement and belonging. Whether it is guiding managers through performance conversations, supporting employee relations with empathy and fairness, or implementing learning solutions that build capability, your work will help shape a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow. You will also play a key role in operational efficiency, helping to streamline processes and remove barriers to success. Through data-driven insights and continuous improvement, you will help us make smarter decisions and create an agile HR function. Ultimately, this role is about making a difference--by empowering leaders, engaging employees, and building a culture where everyone can thrive.
