People Analytics Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
Bachelors degree in data Analytics, HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Intelligence, or related field
Experience needed to deliver the role seamlessly:
Minimum 5 years of experience in HR analytics, business intelligence, or a related data-driven role.
Proven experience operating at a strategic level within a complex organisational environment.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, macros/VBA).
Strong understanding of HR processes, metrics, and systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Core Technical Delivery:
Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel-based dashboards and models using pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and VBA/macros.
Development & Completion of all Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reporting and data tracking
Monthly payroll BVAs
Automate and optimise recurring reports to ensure accuracy, scalability, and timely delivery of key HR metrics.
Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the employee lifecycle.
Integrate Excel-based analytics with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and HRIS platforms.
Lead the development of predictive and diagnostic analytics to support strategic HR initiatives.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and usability across all analytics outputs.
Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve data architecture and reporting capabilities.
Business Management
Own the people analytics strategy and ensure alignment with organisational and HR priorities.
Act as a strategic advisor to HR and business leaders, translating workforce data into actionable insights.
Lead the delivery of analytics projects that support workforce planning, talent optimisation, and organisational design.
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
Influence cross-functional teams to embed analytics into core HR and business processes.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of analytics interventions and recommend improvements.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of learning programmes, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to training and development.
Influence organisational culture by embedding learning into performance, leadership, and career development processes.
