Must have:
- Demonstrated payroll experience (processing both weekly and monthly payrolls for a staff complement of 200 employees)
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes, including capturing new hires, terminations, and employment changes
- Sound understanding of South African labour legislation (BCEA, EEA, LRA) and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201s, EMP501s, etc.)
- Experience administering benefits (pension/provident funds, medical aid, insurance schemes)
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and numerical accuracy
- Strong administrative and time management skills
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- Familiarity with industry-specific councils (e.g., MEIBC)
- Previous experience in the metal or manufacturing industry
- Strong communication and employee engagement focus
- Ability to manage HR systems, biometric systems, and leave tracking
