Job Summary
Payroll Officer | Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek
Salary: R23,500 - R26,500 (Negotiable DOE) | Live Out
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer for a luxury wine estate located in the beautiful Franschhoek region. This position is ideal for a candidate who has a strong understanding of payroll processes and labour legislation, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full payroll function for all staff, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant tax and labour regulations
Process employee benefits, deductions, and leave
Reconcile payroll reports and prepare monthly payroll journals
Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll-related matters
Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information
Prepare annual reports, including IRP5s and other statutory documentation
Requirements:
Proven experience in a payroll position, preferably within the hospitality or wine industry
Solid understanding of payroll systems and relevant South African legislation
Proficient in payroll software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar) and MS Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Own transport preferred due to the live-out nature of the role
