Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator for a food-based company in the Somerset West area

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with HR/Operations ensuring that all relevant payroll information is loaded onto the payroll system.
  • Processing of the payroll within the required time as per company protocol
  • Assist with payroll related tax and financial year end information, processing, documentation and procedures
  • Adding and verification of new employee information on to the system
  • Updating and correcting of employee information on the system
  • Check and process any changes required including multiple as well as one off changes
  • Prepare all monthly payroll reports for submission and review
  • Completing all regulatory forms such as UIF, Certificate of Service, UI-19, Salary Schedule, and Maternity documentation
  • Accurately maintain integrity of all payroll information
  • General administrative support and any other ad hoc duties relating to the administration of the payroll
  • Answer and resolve payroll and employee related queries
  • Assist with finalising of accounts for monthly submission including reconciliations
  • Assist with generation of payroll reports and related payroll information as may be required
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Suitable Payroll or accounting based qualification is preferred
  • MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator
  • MUST HAVE experience working with a payroll of 450 - 600 people. This is NOT Negotiable!
  • Good understanding of human resources and labour rules and regulations
  • Payroll software experience - PaySpace payroll software is preferred
  • MS Office
  • Good Excel skills are essential
  • Accurate and efficient proceeding of data in a timeous fashion
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Good communication skills with people at all levels within the company
  • Ability to work under pressure and meat deadlines
  • Salary is dependent on qualification and relevant work experience
  • South African citizens only
