Job Description


Purpose of the Position: To assist the HR Manager in effectively managing the daily HR administration, Payroll, Polices and Controls. Qualifications: Matric with Accounting. HR or an Accounting Qualification advantageous. Experience: 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a HR environment. 2 years working experience and knowledge of payroll. VIP and SAGE will be advantageous. Skills Requirement: Interpersonal skills - ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and manager. Detail oriented xe2x80x93 ability to compile statistical data, and generate spreadsheets. Ability to follow a systematic approach to own job requirements and a basic understanding of Letter of Appointments. Administrative skills xe2x80x93 have strong administrative skills, especially relating to payroll resources issues. Communication xe2x80x93 English proficiency (verbal and writing). Knowledge Requirements: VIP Premier and Microsoft Office knowledge. Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Responsibilities: Systems Management - update VIP with correct payroll input. Capturing of all relevant input on the VIP system. Personnel xe2x80x93 filing of all relevant input, leave forms and timesheets. Payroll Management xe2x80x93 ensure employeexe2x80x99s personal info on payroll system is accurate. Ensure monthly salary sheets are received and vetted by HR manager. Processing of all payrolls, excluding Managers payroll. Do reconciliation of payroll journals. Update of employee personal information. Accurate capturing of new employees on VIP. Leave Management xe2x80x93 receiving and vetting of all attendance registers. Ensure all leaves forms are received and authorized. Process all leave on VIP and Excel. Ensure negative leave is brought to HR Managerxe2x80x99s attention in time. Analysis sick leave trends. Identifying sick leave abuse, (Analyzing sick leave reports). Overtime Management xe2x80x93 vet all overtime in lieu of hours claimed vs timesheets. Bring all discrepancies to HR Managerxe2x80x99s attention. Analysis of overtime. HR Administration. HR Administration xe2x80x93 ensure correct capturing of loan applications. General HR Administration including timesheet administration, Journals and month end reports. .
