Role Purpose





We're looking for an experienced Payment Specialist to take a hands-on role in managing and optimising our global payment operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of payment systems, provider relationships, and digital transaction flows, particularly in high-growth industries like gaming, betting, or online entertainment.



Based in our Century City office, you'll play a critical role in ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing payment journeys for our users across multiple markets and platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work across functional teams, take ownership of key initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to the design and execution of payment strategy.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE





Oversee daily monitoring and reconciliation of payment transactions across multiple platforms and providers. Serve as a primary point of contact for payment service providers (PSPs), ensuring performance, issue resolution, and compliance. Support the integration and rollout of new payment methods, gateways, and providers in collaboration with Product and Project teams. Handle dispute management, chargebacks, and fraud monitoring, working closely with Risk and Compliance. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of payment flows, including performance reporting, failure analysis, and automation opportunities. Ensure payment operations are aligned with industry regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, PCI-DSS, etc.). Conduct detailed investigations on failed transactions, latency issues, and customer-reported payment concerns. Maintain internal documentation and support training of junior staff or new team members. Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging payment technologies relevant to our sector.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED




3-5 years of experience in a payments-related role, ideally within gaming, fintech, betting, or e-commerce. In-depth knowledge of digital wallets, card acquiring, APMs (alternative payment methods), and back-office PSP platforms. Experience with transaction reconciliation, reporting tools, and chargeback handling. Solid understanding of AML/KYC practices, fraud detection methods, and global compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; confident interpreting data and identifying root causes. Excellent communication skills with experience managing external vendors and internal stakeholders. Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience supporting or managing payment-related projects or rollouts. Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, PSP dashboards, and ticketing or back-office systems.



EDUCATION:




A tertiary qualification in

Finance, Business, IT

, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in

payments, AML/KYC compliance

, or fintech systems are a plus.
