Job Summary
JoyJozi, Johannesburg's most exciting family restaurant and events destination, is looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team!
We're a fast-paced, premium, and playful space where both kids and parents come for unforgettable food and fun - and we're looking for someone who can bring their pastry magic to the table.
??? Responsibilities:
Prepare waffles, muffins, simple pastries and cakes
Develop new ideas and recipes, keeping our menus exciting and on-trend.
Assist in the salad section when required, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Manage ingredients, ordering, and stock rotation.
Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards under pressure.
Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
? Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' pastry experience in a professional kitchen.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong creative ability with an eye for playful and premium presentation.
Excellent recipe development and baking knowledge.
Flexible and team-oriented - able to step in and assist in other sections, especially salads.
