PASTRY & DESSERT CHEF WANTED -- NEW SIGNATURE RESTAURANT OPENING NEAR THE KRUGER!
Are you a passionate pastry chef who dreams in pate sucree, lives for laminated layers and knows how to finish a meal with flair?
My client is opening a brand-new gourmet restaurant in the South of the Kruger National Park and we are searching for a Pastry & Dessert Chef with the creativity and precision to elevate the sweet side of the menu from ordinary to unforgettable.
We want the soul of sourdough, the magic of mille-feuille, and the drama of desserts that people talk about for days.
Skills and Experience required:
- A pastry/dessert chef with 3-8 years' experience in a top bakery, bistro or boutique restaurant
- A creative mind with strong technical fundamentals: lamination, custards, breads, cakes
- A flair for visual presentation and a deep respect for flavour balance
- Someone who thrives in high-energy environments and can help build a pastry offering from scratch
- Willingness to relocate to a beautiful hospitality setting near the Kruger National Park
- Inventive plated desserts with bold textures and flavour profiles
- Freshly baked pastries that start mornings off right
- Signature sweet specials that evolve with the seasons
- Creative takes on South African classics with a modern twist
- And yes -- maybe even wood-fired dessert pizzas or gelatos worth a detour
