Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to lead the preparation of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods. The ideal candidate must have a passion for baking, an eye for detail, and the ability to consistently deliver beautifully presented, great-tasting creations. You will play a key role in menu planning, production, and kitchen organization, ensuring that all pastries meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods.
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus in line with current trends.
  • Ensure all baked goods are consistently prepared to the highest standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
  • Oversee stock control and inventory for pastry ingredients and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen health regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff as needed.
  • Coordinate with other chefs and departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
  • Relevant culinary qualification or diploma in pastry arts.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
