VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, a wheat mill in Frankfort in the Free State as well as a maize mill in Christiana and a Wheat Mill in Modderrivier in the Northern Cape.

Job Function

Execution of the pasta making process. This role ensures the pasta is made to high standards, maintaining quality, consistency, and authenticity.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate Pasta making qualification (Theory and Practical) would serve as an advantage Excellent People management skills The suitable candidate must understand laboratory work and be able to do tests and analysis and reaction to results, recording of pasta / lab data. Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality and consistency. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor execution of pasta making process, by managing downtime, control and optimise people, machinery and equipment People management: Leave planning, Training/Coaching, performance monitoring & discipline Operate and maintain pasta-making machines, ensuring they are in good working condition Rootcause analysis, trouble shooting & Maintenance support Track inventory of ingredients and pasta products to ensure there is enough stock for daily production. Ensure input quality - responsible for raw material, production and mix back; Inspect the pasta to ensure it is properly shaped, consistent in size, and of the correct texture.
