Part Time Sports Coordinator / Pe Teacher

Job Description

International Maarif School is a high school for Grade 8-12 learners, situated at 44 Imam Haron Road, Claremont, and is seeking to appoint a male part-time Physical Education (PE) teacher and Sports Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Facilitate extra-mural sports after- school sessions on

Wednesdays and Thursdays respectively from 15.15 to 16.15 pm.

Soccer will definitely be one of the sporting codes offered.

Train the school's soccer team on a regular basis and entering the team in tournaments.

Have some insight into the Western Cape Schools Soccer League Have some experience in talent development workshops and training camps Organize at least four special sporting activities for students per year such as a sports camp, attending a team training session, inviting a well-known soccer player as a guest speaker and organising a workshop on the importance of sports and exercise Organise whole school sporting events with the assistance of the staff Take boys physical education classes which are part of the weekly timetable:

Wednesdays

Grade 9: periods 5 and 6

Thursdays

Grade 8: periods 5 and 6

Grade 10: periods 8 and 9

Grade 11: periods 10 and 11

Grade 12: periods 12 and 13

The successful candidate should;

Be in good health and be of sober habits Have either a Level 1 or Level 2 first aid certification Be in possession of a PDP driver's licence Have a valid police clearance certificate Have or be studying towards obtaining a Bachelors or Honors degree in sports education.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to R12000,00 per month

Expected hours: 8 per week

Work Location: In person
