Job Purpose:

The role of the Lecturer is the delivery of training and education of students, student consultations, the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development; whilst providing overall support to Academic department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Presenting content in a class environment Briefing students for assignments and projects Marking assessments and providing feedback Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within the Rosebank College environment Developing and implementing intervention programmes for at-risk students

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ or Honours degree in IT Management or Honours degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ IT Management or Diploma in Any IT Related qualification.

The transcript or academic record reflecting some learning experience in any combination of the following,System Analysis and Design IT Security Programming in Java, C#, CSS, and JavaScript Database, oracle or MySQL Web Development IT Management Business Information Enterprise resource Planning Mobile Application Development Introduction to Programming Logic Mobile App Scripting Open Source Coding Project Management Project Administration Information and Knowledge Management Information Systems for Lawyers Information Systems Strategy Information Technology Management IT Risk Management Business Information Systems Processes Computer Architecture IT Professional Practice Management of Networks Client Systems Configuration Data Communication Emerging Network Technologies Introduction to Cloud Computing Mobile Communications Internet Fundamentals Network Domain Administration Network Design Network Infrastructure Administration Network Server Administration Network Engineerinh 1 - 5 Years Lecturing experience Experience in guidance and counselling, and remediation.

Key Competencies:

Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.
Knowledge and understanding of the Teaching and Learning theory and interventions.
The ability to provide student support services. The ability to work with and learn more about digitalized academic platforms. The ability to cope with a frequently changing environment and to adapt to evolving situations. Ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations. Deadline orientated and can work well under pressure. Ability to manage time effectively.
