We're Hiring - Paint Mixing & Hardware Assistant

Location: Mitchell's Plain & Surrounding Areas | Cape Town

We are excited to announce the opening of our new Plumbing, Hardware & Electrical Store in Mitchell's Plain. We're looking for a dedicated, customer-friendly individual with paint mixing experience to join our growing team.

Position: Hardware & Paint Mixing Assistant

Work Schedule: 6 days per week (1 day off)

Key Responsibilities:

Paint Mixing: Operate paint mixing machines confidently and mix accurate paint colours for customers. Hardware Sales Support: Assist customers with general hardware needs, including product selection and advice. Broader Knowledge Base: Provide support in plumbing and electrical departments, ensuring customers receive the right guidance. Stock & Store Maintenance: Ensure shelves are neat, stocked, and products are presented professionally. Customer Service: Deliver excellent service with a positive, helpful attitude.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have experience with paint mixing (operating paint mixers and mixing custom colours). At least 2 years' experience in a hardware, plumbing, or electrical retail environment. Good product knowledge across hardware, plumbing, and electrical (basic knowledge is acceptable). Must live in Mitchell's Plain or surrounding areas (non-negotiable). Strong communication skills, reliable, hardworking, and willing to work retail hours (6 days a week).
