Role summary:
The Surgeon is responsible for providing pre-operative, operative, and post-operative management of patient care within the multi-disciplined clinical team. Additionally, the Surgeon will provide the clinical lead within surgical facilities in support of the Iqarus Regional Medical Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Perform surgical interventions, including damage control surgery and surgical procedures for emergency surgical cases, to deliver life, limb, and function saving medical treatment
xc2xb7 Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, specialists, and other medical staff
xc2xb7 Recognise and record information on medical condition and surgical risk
xc2xb7 Stabilise and support a casualty before evacuation by air or land, in support of ER clinical team if required
xc2xb7 Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care
xc2xb7 Ensures that all medical records are properly kept and maintained
xc2xb7 Provision of clinical reporting
xc2xb7 Support clinical mentoring for staff development
xc2xb7 Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
xc2xb7 Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Regional Medical Director.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
xc2xb7 University Degree in Medicine with a minimum of 5 Years post qualification experience
xc2xb7 A specialist qualification and/or formal education program in Surgery.
xc2xb7 Remain clinically up to date in surgical procedures and demonstrate operating time.
