Operations Team Leader - KZNThe RoleManage performance objectives of clusters, monitor and apply corrective measures on performance exceptions in accordance with policies and procedures and escalate to area manager for disciplinary or penalty actions. 2. Co-ordinate, manage and control contracted driver availability & schedules daily and weekly as per cluster requirements. 3. Daily & weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets xe2x80x93 daily & weekly: Ensure that all drivers have the necessary resources and tools available in working order and that they meet all legal and regulatory conditions to deliver their services to Pingo. 4. Physical support and issuing of assets and issuing of uniforms and campaign related articles and ensuring AODxe2x80x99s are completed and submitted to admin team within required timeframe. 5. Maintain daily face to face interaction with independent contractors. Execute on the job training where required. Deal with driver queries promptly and ensure that drivers voice is represented within the business. 6. Obtain driver feedback and feedback to business and actively pursue plans to address any barriers to performance and/or to improve alignment to the business imperatives. 7. Review and make recommendations to improve driver self-service to empower drivers to obtain the required resources to deliver against the expectations of the business. 8. Daily and weekly engagement with contracted drivers on all facets of the business. Determine if there are any challenges they are experiencing and actively work to resolve driver issues that will inhibit performance, raise caveats and training opportunities. 9. Accurately and timeously report in field incidents & accidents in line with company & departmental policies. Provide all support functions to contracted drivers on incidents and accidents, accurately and timeously complete incident / accident reports for timeous submission to relevant departments. 10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cluster through making recommendations and suggestions to the Area Manager. 11. Collate and submit budget inputs as required.Skills and ExperienceGrade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4 (essential) xe2x80xa2 Diploma in supply chain management/ transportation/ safety management or equivalent at NQF level 5 (essential) xe2x80xa2 Code B Driverxe2x80x99s License (essential) xe2x80xa2 At least 3 years working experience in an operations environment (essential).
