Operations Manager - ANT /ECT/ ECP Position

The successful candidate will be subject to a three-month probation period.

Key Performance Areas

Ensure operational readiness for emergency calls.

Overseeing and helping with vehicle licensing and services

Assist with emergency call taking and dispatch

Administer patient care in line with scope of practice.

Assist where necessary in our Primary Health Care Clinic

Manage special events in the area as required, including quotation, drawing up of medical response plans for event safety files and invoicing.

Oversee and manage some administrative roles including patient billing and submission of Medical Aid and WCA claims.

Ensure that an excellent service is provided to our small community

Foster good working relationships with stakeholders in the area.

Overseeing and assisting with stock ordering

Managing staff who will be reporting to you.

Requirements:

- Current registration with the HPCSA as an ANT / ECP or ECT

- Valid driver's license with Professional Driving Permit

- Sound knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice

- Minimum 3-year operational experience in an EMS environment and management experience with a reputable company.

- Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed their CPG guidelines update.

- A knowledge of SAGE accounting will be advantageous, along with experience on the eCOIDA portal. Good computer literacy is imperative.

Professionalism and ability to remain calm and professional in an EMS environment. Willingness to learn about the community, local facilities, travel routes and demographical area or a sound knowledge of the community. Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal) Good personal skills and ability to work in a team. Passionate about the EMS and ready to embrace the challenges as well as the advantages of a rural service. Ability to lead a team.
Remuneration will be negotiable in line with industry standards and experience will be taken into consideration. Accommodation arrangements can be discussed.
