Summary
Our client in the engineering industry is looking for an Operation Engineer to join their team in the UEM space.
Contract up to end of December 2028 with the possibility for renwal.
To be based in PTA, Midrand and home office.
Description
You will be part of a team that develops and operates global platforms of applications and services to manage corporate devices
(Endpoints).
Responsible for planning, documenting, defining, and evaluating technical integration information for major systems, and related components.
Be responsible for the verification, planning and actioning of maintenance tasks together with other infrastructure teams.
Assist with defining and documenting technology platforms and dependencies for multiple environments (test/integration and production).
Understand and monitor impacts to and dependencies between existing technical and network environments and continuously work on improving the operational stability.
Work on automation of platform operations, troubleshooting and maintenance topics.
Interact with an international product team, external providers, vendors and customers.
Treat security as a first-class citizen.
Work closely with stakeholders, development teams in constantly improving Endpoint Management platforms stability and availability.
Work with other IT teams on integration of new features and components.
Minimum Requirements
A university Degree or Diploma in a relevant field of study or a comparable Qualification or 10 years IT experience.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
ITIL Foundation
VMWare Workspace One
Microsoft Intune
At least one OS /device platform (iOS, AOSP, Windows, MacOS, Linux)
Experience with cloud technologies and cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services)
Zero Trust Framework
Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (EntraID), SCCM, GPO
Scripting (PowerShell, Bash etc.)
Apple and Android technologies: Device enrollment process, App Notarization
Exposure to troubleshooting infrastructure, network and integration issues
Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Change and Problem management)
Experience with technical documentation and standard operating procedures
