We are looking for an experienced Operations Director who will orchestrate the successful implementation and launch of our brand new Cape Town office. Your responsibilities will extend to the overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations, leading and coordinating the team's efforts, strategically aligned with a variety of our UK brands. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to make a global impact by driving productivity and efficiency, whilst recruiting, developing and maintaining engaging in a high-performing environment.

Every day you will:

  • Be responsible for all operational management by providing effective leadership and guidance to the overall business unit whilst creating an open, positive and inclusive atmosphere
  • Work closely with your UK counterpart and teams to ensure we are delivering a 'better together' approach for all customers
  • Deliver budget and growth by ensuring growth opportunities are maximised and margin and GM targets are met
  • Keep up to date with market changes and business opportunities, capitalising on opportunities where appropriate
  • Understand and utilise key financial drivers and metrics by continuously reviewing strategic progress in-line with company objectives
  • Developing the growing team by ensuring all team members are working to maximum productivity and improved performance
  • Execute a strong strategy and leadership to drive the team to meet and exceed agreed sales targets whilst maintaining a focus on customer service and retention
  • Work with customers to define business requirements and effective solutions while cross-selling opportunities and driving 'better together' across the wider Acacium Group
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and representing the business to relevant outside bodies, institutions and individuals
  • Identify challenges and opportunities to the current business with work with the global team to respond to them
  • Optimise the business by foreseeing workforce challenges and implementing strategies to mitigate risk and maintain engagement

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have...
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team in a high performing recruitment/sales culture (preferably in a healthcare or social care staffing business)
  • A strong operational background with exposure working with UK markets
  • Experience in developing and presenting operational plans and business strategies
  • Experience in leading both sales and solutions in a fast-paced, performance-led environment
