Role Description

Polokwane Tutors are currently accepting applications to join our growing team of face-to-face tutors whom we offer the opportunity for:

Tutoring and teaching passions to be used to benefit learners in a one-on-one environment. Tutors to choose the grades and subjects they tutor, based on their experience and abilities. Tutors to choose their own hours during which they are available for tutoring. Tutors to choose the areas of

they travel to for face-to-face home tuition lessons.

Qualifications and Requirements

Polokwane Tutors are looking for part-time tutors ready to begin from the start of term 3 of 2025, who meet the following minimum requirements (further job requirements are listed on our website):

Experience

: Have a minimum of 6 months tutoring and/or teaching experience, if holding or studying for a Diploma or Bachelor of Education or PGCE, or holding a Bachelor Degree in the tuition subjects to be offered OR have a minimum of 12 months tutoring and/or teaching assistant experience if holding Matric with a minimum of 60% in the tuition subjects to be offered.

Location

: Be residing in Polokwane, Mankweng or Seshego, and be able to travel to learner's homes, or alternative specified lesson venues, in or around Polokwane by means of own transport or public transport to provide one-on-one home tuition.

Character

: Have the desire to work one-on-one with learners and be passionate about enabling learners to improve their academic performance and achieve the best they can, whilst also helping to build the learner's self-confidence and love of learning in a professional manner.

High demand Subjects include:

English and Afrikaans (Home Language or First Additional Language), and STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Applications for other subject tutors are welcome.

Pay: R230,00 - R270,00 per hour
