Job Purpose

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Rice Machine Operator

to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining rice processing equipment such as hullers, cleaners, and milling machines. You'll play a key part in ensuring product quality, meeting production targets, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Start, run, and stop machinery including hullers, cleaners, and mills during the production cycle. Prepare machines by cleaning, calibrating, and adjusting settings to meet specific production requirements. Monitor machine operations continuously and inspect outputs for defects or inconsistencies. Conduct routine quality checks to ensure compliance with product standards. Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting during shifts. Load raw materials and handle finished products -- may require operating forklifts or using manual tools like pitchforks. Maintain accurate production logs, track approved and defective units, and report issues to supervisors. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company and industry health regulations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets.

Key Competencies

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain production machinery. Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the go. Attention to detail for accurate inspections and record-keeping. Physically fit, with the stamina to perform manual tasks in hot or demanding environments. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar machine operation role. Experience in a

manufacturing

or

FMCG

environment is advantageous. Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and grow in an operations-focused role. Ability to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required. Forklift license or mechanical handling experience is a plus
