Remuneration: Market Related dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience (Basic + Incentive + Car allowance + Cellphone allowance + Mileage allowance)
Reporting to: Trade Club Program Manager
Purpose Of The Job:
Our client a leading Automotive OEM is looking for a Field Based Trade Sales Development Manager (TSDM) to maximise sales of OEM's Parts through the Trade Club program, and the sale of all Parts by supporting Dealer Network sales and marketing activity and providing sales management for Dealer employed Trade Parts sales staff.
Responsibilities:

• To provide Dealers with support in areas of Parts Trade Sales Reps recruitment, approval, training and coaching
• Agree Dealer marketing campaigns and processes needed to establish and maintain an effective and efficient Trade Parts sales operation
• Assist in the achievement of key performance indicators (KPI's) at individual Dealer and regional levels
• Support Zone Managers in recruiting new Dealers onto Trade Club and related sales and marketing campaigns
• Report on Dealer qualification standards relating to the Trade Club element of bonus programs and approve payments under these schemes
• Participate in relevant conference calls when requested
• Maximise on-time Dealer submissions of Trade Club sales data
• To provide Dealers with detailed advice regarding the Trade Club and wholesale sales operation efficiencies and performance
• Review Trade Parts operations performance with relevant company and Head Office management as necessary and devise action plans to improve to specific levels within an agreed time frame
• Support Zone Managers and national policies and programs in all dealings with Dealers
• Liaise with Zone managers to ensure realistic and appropriate Trade and Trade Club targets and plans are included in Dealer business plans
• Provide input to Zone managers during target setting process as required and ensure during each Dealer visit that the Trade Parts operation is focussing on delivering required contribution to target achievement
• Monitor Dealer Trade Club and Trade Parts sales performance against targets and advise regularly of action plans determined to correct out of line performance, noting any assistance needed
• Ensure Dealer Trade Parts operations make effective use of all Trade Club approved marketing and promotional material, customer and prospect data, and financial assistance available to support marketing activity
• Lead Dealer activity in establishing and maintaining relationships with Trade customers and prospects and generating Parts sales and customer enthusiasm
• Discuss and agree training plans for Parts Trade management team and sales staff
• To measure compliance with Trade Club program standards, devise action plans as appropriate to be followed by Dealer and Field Teams, and to advise of Dealer performance as requested
• To feedback to Head Office details of competitive actions and/or Trade sales opportunities for the company
• Submit detailed report following each Dealer visit in required format and on time
• Attend Head Office and Dealer meetings as necessary and present as required. Propose content and agenda items for meetings as necessary

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in same or similar role as Field Based Trade Sales Development Manager in the motor industry, OEM or wholesale level
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages
• Normally home based on Friday's, while the rest of the week on the road attending to allocated dealer network.
• Diploma/degree in business, marketing, sales or related
• B2B sales, CRM proficiency, negotiation, communication
• Strong relationship management and strategic planning
• Enthusiastic, determined, ability to create enthusiasm for sales and sales technique within a dealership environment from the OEM's perspective.
• Driver's License
