Occupational Therapist - Kenilworth24th November, 2023As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Occupational Therapist based in Kenilworth - Cape Town, South Africa. The Occupational Therapist is to deliver quality preventative, curative and therapy interventions, using a person-centered approach to create the best possible outcome for the patient and family, within the requirements of legislation and in compliance with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa.Responsibilities:The Occupational Therapist has a responsibility for the general well-being of patients by putting patients and family first and providing compassionate care.Fosters Therapeutic Relationships in the interdisciplinary Team by developing joint goals, sharing information and promoting a collaborative approach to patient and family care and outcomesEnsures patient and family conjoints are attended as scheduled.Ensures Ward rounds are attended as scheduled.Ensures continuity and communication and that the Clinical team is providing information to the Nursing team and Doctors regarding patient observation where indicated.Attend daily Handover meetings.Identify and report quality gaps requiring rectification to Line Manager and completion of an incident report.Requirements:Relevant degree in Occupational TherapyRegistered with HPCSAExperience with an in-patient settingTwo yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a Clinical environment will be an advantage.Salary is market relatedLocation: KenilworthTo apply, please send your updated CV to recruit@medipath.co.zaPlease be advised that you will be contacted by Medipath Healthcare Recruitment within 14 days should we wish to proceed with your application.
