Job Description
Our client, an independent hospital who has provided health care services in Kwa-Zulu Natal based in Durban is looking to recruit a Nursing Manager who will be responsible to manage the entire patient care nursing process, achieving determined levels of quality care and standards of service.KEY RESPOSNIBILITY AREAS
- Compile, implement and monitor the hospital specific nursing strategy
- Drive and support culture of quality nursing care and patient safety in with the hospital operational goals and objectives
- Manage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomes
- Manage resources to ensure optimal operational efficiency
- Manage and ensure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarks
- Lead and manage people in the nursing department
- Ensure optimal utilisation of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelines
- Lead and manage direct reports
- Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomes
- ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 4-year Degree in Nursing, Nursing Management
- DESIRED EDUCATION: Nursing Education qualification
- At least 5 years professional experience in a tertiary healthcare institution
- 10 years or more management experience in a tertiary healthcare institution
- Proven track record
