About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Combined NOC (Network Operations Centre) and SOC (Security Operations Centre) Agent to join our team. This unique hybrid role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in IT networking and cybersecurity, who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments. As a Combined NOC and SOC Agent, you will play a critical role in monitoring, managing, and securing our clients' IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Operations Centre (NOC) Responsibilities:

Monitor client networks, servers, and systems to ensure uptime and performance. Respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and troubleshoot issues to resolution. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch updates, system optimizations, and backups. Collaborate with technical teams to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues. Generate and maintain accurate system documentation and reports.
Security Operations Centre (SOC) Responsibilities:

Monitor security tools and systems to detect and respond to potential threats or breaches. Analyze logs and data to identify vulnerabilities or suspicious activities. Respond to security incidents, including containment, mitigation, and reporting. Assist in implementing and managing security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus solutions. Participate in vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for security improvements.

Requirements:

Proven experience in IT networking, system administration, or cybersecurity. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching (Cisco, Juniper, or similar). Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection, and firewalls. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments. Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices (certification is a plus). Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift rotations as required. Outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Desirable Qualifications:

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP. Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
