Job Description


KEYPERFORMANCEAREAS

  • Facilitate the learning processes and outcomes of the Department of Mechatronics.
  • Perform academic engagement.
  • Perform curriculum and course administration.
  • Applicants will be required to register for and complete a PhD in Mechatronics in a maximum period of 3 years.
CORECOMPETENCIES
  • In-depth knowledge of the theory and application in the relevant disciplines related to Mechatronics.
  • Ability to facilitate learning at the undergraduate level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Have the potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by publishing research and involvement in relevant engagement activities.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
REQUIREMENTS
  • MEng /MSc in Engineering (Mechatronics) with BEng or BSc in Engineering (Mechatronics).
  • The Masters must be achieved with a minimum average of 70%.
  • Be registered for, or qualify to register for a PhD in Mechatronics.
  • Lecturing and / or industry experience will be an added advantage.
  • A research record of peer-reviewed publications will be a recommendation.
