Network Tower Technician
Job Description
Job Summary Applications are invited for the cell network Infrastructure Technician. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Infrastructure Technician Senior will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of both wireless and fibre network infrastructure and lead their team in this regard. This will consist of the installation and configuration of equipment as well as the physical structures to host equipment. Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to: oAssist in the construction, installation and maintenance of communications tower, fibre networks and support structure. oMeet project deadlines and be able to respond to any type of network tower outage, this includes both highsite outages as well as fibre network breaks. oTravel extensively, sometimes at short notice. oErecting of self-supporting and stayed masts. oLead a team and mentor less experienced tower technicians. oSuccessfully completed the Working at Heights and Tower Rescue Training. Technically inclined. oExperience in manual labour, related to site preparation and/or equipment setup, having experience in both the fibre and RF fields with be advantageous.
